I've been trying to figure out a problem in the truck but haven't sorted it out yet. It seems like vapor lock. Starts AMAZING when cold. But turn the truck off hot and it'll start up again nice an easy within a minute or two of shutting off but let it sit for 5 minutes or more and it's a difficult start. I insul...

Anyone here ever try the ring gear spacers? I have a series 2 carrier (gm 7.5" 10 bolt). I'm switching to 3.73's for the transmission swap (350 to 700r4) I know I can buy a 'thick' gear set that's available to work in my series 2 carrier. But I already have a set of 3.73's kicking around and for $35 I can get a s...

I am looking at an EFI conversion on my BBC. This is a used FAST system. It was removed from a 502 crate motor being run in a P/U. The owner wanted to switch back to a carburetor. The manifold is an oval port design (so like for like with my set up) converted over to injectors. My question is the differen...

Hey guys. I'm fitting wheels to my project truck to get rid of those ugly chrome f150 rims. The frame is from a 1998 f150. I have 15" rims, steelies with centre cap from an older f150. The bolt pattern fits perfectly. Trouble is up front. 1997 and up has dual cylinder brake calipers that require 16" rims....

Sure hope I am not being a pain. Is there any difference between Speedway parts and name brand parts. I was looking at gas and brake pedals today. The Lokar brand are twice the price as the Speedway stuff but look the same in the pictures. I have noticed this with other stuff as well. Don't mind spend...

For my fuel cell, how is the fuel line going into the cell done? I have a piece of 1/4" alum that goes over the hole in the cell and no holes currently. My son can fab something for this but need to tell him what to do. Does this make sense the way I am saying it? The goal is to run the fuel line from the cell to...

I recently picked up a discarded Motomaster floor jack , a small one looks like about 1 1/2 ton , and found out why it was discarded ! The arm will only lift a couple of inches and the pump has a bit of a leak near the jacking point . I can take pics if need be . Are these things fixable ? T
