I recently picked up a discarded Motomaster floor jack , a small one looks like about 1 1/2 ton , and found out why it was discarded ! The arm will only lift a couple of inches and the pump has a bit of a leak near the jacking point . I can take pics if need be . Are these things fixable ?

I think this is Slim's game but I would say if it only goes up a bit and has a leak I would have to guess it's just about out of fluid. As far as the leak goes (almost)everything is fixable JMO
Thanks TMJ , I was wondering if there was a seal inside that lets go , over time , that would need to be replaced . I don't have the proper fluid but will get some ...I see a bleeder screw for releasing air .

today jacks are like bick lighters. buy the time you piss around and find and buy the seals you could own two new ones. that being said fill it with 10-30 and try it. I own a couple people have thrown out and all they needed was oil. I have 4 or 5 of them and I don't think any have real jack oil.
