(Preview)
I have had an issue with the fluid leaking out of the T5 in my pickup truck for quite a while now so finally pulled it out to see what the issue is. Thought it was the front collar but turns out to be the "plug" below it. Now this looks like a normal frost plug but after watching some you tubes on this trans I find...

4 SPD HYDRAMATIC TRANNY
(Preview)
I volunteer at a military museum that has a tired M114 Armoured Personnel Carrier. These were built by Cadillac in the early 60’s and originally used a 283 SBC with the old four speed Hydramatic transmission. We’re using a stock 350 but the original transmission is toast. Does anyone have, or kno...

Here is a great link for anyone that has changed their axle ratio or have gone to very large tires. With this link you can enter in the info to calculate which is the correct speedo gear for your transmission to keep the speedometer accurate. I have used a number of times so far. http://www.tciauto.com...

(Preview)
So my boy is selling his 2003 Honda Civic SI Coupe and we were wondering what the thickness of the rotors and pad material needs to be to pass a certification these days. Is there some data base I can look up to get the required thickness for this car to pass? Is it a formula based on the original thick...

Brake Service Lube
(Preview)
What are you guys using to lube parts of the brake caliper and back of pads? I need to do the brakes on my wife's Mazda3 and before I start would like to have everything on hand. I have read that synthetic will take higher heat than dino grease and is safer on rubber components.

To Posi or not to Posi....that is the question!

Just looking for some opinions on Posi or not posi. Some back ground info. The rear end in my 1999 classic style 1/2 ton 2wd pick up broke(4 teeth gone on the ring and the pinion flops around like it has no bearing left and who knows what might be missing off of it). The truck had a tow package and came with a 3...

Any owners of a 1968 Mustang on this site? or people who know thier Ford stuff?

I have a chrome shift lever for a late 1960's 4 speed Ford (Mustang?) but I can't tell if it's a 1968 or not and it doesn't have any part number or markings on it. My shift lever has slots for the reverse lockout (should look like a disc below the shift knob if it's a '68) in a vertical position to the shaft (i...

Any way to tell what brand rims are ?
(Preview)
So I had some 22" rims given to me but they are without centre caps. I checked/ asked great google gods using any numbers/ info stamped on inside but can't come up with nodda! they are a multi fit bolt pattern for dodge truck/ car. If I can find centre caps for them that would be ideal. Or get some fabbed up?...
