Leaking T5 transmission
Permalink

I have had an issue with the fluid leaking out of the T5 in my pickup truck for quite a while now so finally pulled it out to see what the issue is. Thought it was the front collar but turns out to be the "plug" below it. Now this looks like a normal frost plug but after watching some you tubes on this trans I find out it is the bearing cup for the countershaft and the whole trans has to be taken apart to reseal it and put it back from the inside. Actually looks like the first item to go in. Now I have two choices. Find a shop/individual who is good at fixing these trans or the 200R4 sitting in stock on the shelf will find a new home. Can anybody give me a contact for somebody that is comfortable doing these transmissions ?
