Trim & upholstery

I'm waiting for my fuel filler welding from the shop so I did a little upholstery to dress my ride up.  First I made window trim from an old bar-b-q and then measured and cut and sewed and glued some caramel vinyl and white vinyl for the rear interior.  IMG_5808.JPG IMG_5809.JPG IMG_5811.JPG

Looks pretty good to me. I,m still trying to come up with a decent CONSOLE design for my 51. I don,t have the smarts to come up with a decent one.

I can't sing the praises of using an old bar-b-q enough. I got so much 'chrome' and 'brushed' metal out of the one my neighbour dropped off. As for design, I just keep gleaning ideas of rides I see on the net that the pros build. I started out thinking white and yellow but I think I'll end up with white and copper / caramel. Have you considered two tone at all ?
