so I bought this little truck a couple weeks ago. Its a driver but needs some work.

going to change what I have to now with as little down time as possible so I can drive it

daily. Ill do bigger stuff over the winter.

So it has a 350 with duel carb

tranny is 700r4

frame is 1983 s10 frame

steering column is out of a jeep ( that will get change over winter)

and the steering wheel is out of a gm truck ( getting swapped out)

master cylinder is put of a 96 s10

seats are out of a blazer ( most uncomfortable set up and is next to get set up for me)

shifter is out of a 68 roadrunner ( awkward to use so will get changed out)

the rims were tiny American eagles and I swapped those out with some aluminum rims with a better offset so I can have a bigger tire size on the back now that the rear fenders are “ painted in an amazing camouflage technique “

I changed the power steering belt as it was pretty worn.

the gas and break peddle will be moved over the winter to be more comfortable for me.

the door pillars need some work so the drivers door actually lines up properly.

replaced the pirate chest in the bed with a metel suitcase to house the battery.

sanded off that weird looking rat dog thing on the doors and scotch bright and matt clear finish over the body.

removed all plastic rats and fake chrome skeletons that were attached throughout.

tomorrow Im going to tackle the drivers seat to set it up so it’s comfortable for me and also add shoulder/ seat belts.

there is a lot Im forgetting but as I come across any headscratchers I’ll be asking for tips 👍

But for now ,  I took my son to his high school graduation in it so I am already a hero. I used chalk to tag it up and his graduating class signed the truck and took pics.

LOL I am driving it every day and enjoying the hell out of it .

So after removing the drivers seat, and the tiny speaker in a big box I am able to move the seat over enough to actually shift into all the lower gears! Which is a bonus.

I’ve been messing with it on and of all day and it just occurred to me it would have been simpler to buy a bloody booster seat🙄.

I think Ill reinstall it at the same height until I change/ modify a shifter and just find a thick seat cushion.

my long leg and larger chestal area 🥴 is causing me clearance issues.

Anybody have a thick car seat cushion?😂
