Seller said it was run in a Delaware car years ago. He bought it when he was 16 or 17 yrs old. He's now 56. Oiled and spun over it's free, standard bore.
The suffix is Z I ; from a 4 speed car, piovt ball is in photo. Early Jan. '66 casting date. This is one of the 2 blocks made for '64 - '67 Chevy II's. An early Christmas present.
good score on that jr, especially on the standard bore. is there a plan for it?
RE ring, check all bearings etc, reassemble and either sell to a Nova 4 speed car owner ($$$$) or it goes in my '67 Chevy II.
This IS a short block & that's why I came home with both legs and arms ! LOL ;No heads, intake, distributor, carb. No chevy II oil pan, it has a 'vette pan on it from the circle track car. It HAD a windage tray; the studs are still there but cut to accommodate the non chevy II oil pan--- And Steel crankshaft with good rods !!
So I will need some pieces- 291,461,462 head castings for now.

I know now that I have two on the shelve. One is brand new in the GM box. One has been damaged (dented) on the front sump part of the pan. It was also brand new when I put it on the wagon and never saw the road. Car slipped of the jack and I didn't trust the room between the dent and the sump screen/pick up. I figure it could be pushed back out but haven't tried.

The dented one is good for me, I can push that out

It's yours. I will be pulling parts off the shelve soon so maybe there might be a few more goodies you may need.
winters intake? Is that what their called? Someone was telling me their quite rate. What's the story on those?? a friend has that intake on his 327 in his f100.

Or the L 79 intake for '66/'67 327 350 hp. This one is cast 11 3 65 perfect dating for '66.
There is one on KIJIJI now for $500 and there is a '63 particular Winters on as well for $600.
Not as common as some manifolds.
