I've got a 32 Ford Model B Banger motor. Spins nice and has compression. Made in Windsor.
I'm not really touching it until after I've swapped the transmission into my truck but the plans are just to get a stand made that I can work on it and run it. Once it's up and running and all looks ok I'm gonna look for some speed parts for it, aftermarket intake / downdraft carb, header, and prob high compression head stuff like that. A police head might be cool to find but I think those are rare.
I'm actually quite surprised at how affordable a lot of the parts are online and how available stuff is. Can't buy cap/rotor/plugs/wires for $50 for my truck! plus having 4 cylinders instead of 8 I only need half the stuff! lol
After that who knows what I'll do with it. But something fun to tinker with for a while. I've got a number of other parts with it too. transmission/rear ends, good rad and some 1935 16" wire wheels. I day dream of building a model A pickup with this B motor in it one day, but just dreams right now.
Prob will not be going into a 32 chassis or body as it's just too expensive. (Although I have a stock 32 rad so I will look for a repop grill shell one day)
I talked to some guys that were at Hershey and they said hardly any 32 stuff to even be found this year. But Model A stuff was practically being given away.
Cracked open the carb today to have a look. Took me forever to get the throttle blade moving. But inside looks very nice! Hopefully just needs a good cleaning and that's all. Even the needle valve for bowl was moving nice and freely.
