The gentleman I bought it from was good enough to deliver it for me, to save me trailering it. It's not a Model A 2 Door Coach,..but it's going to have to do now. Been looking for a '62 Biscyane 2 door for a long time,..came across this one Friday night on Kijiji, and bought it Saturday afternoon.
Full off frame restoration 2 years ago,..including entire drive train,..super clean and straight vehicle. It's sporting a fresh 300 Horse, 327cui,..w/ a M-22 Muncie 4 speed, and 3:55 gears in the tail end. The owner is definitely not a hot rodder, but wanted to keep it period correct, right down to the Tachometer.
What are your plans for it Wayne..I always liked the 61 & 62 style of those cars..It needs something like tinted windows, 24" donkey wheels ..So I guess I can stop looking for 2dr "A"s .. Looks good on you wayne..

The 24" wheels,..triple chromed, w/ green intermittent LED lights and the lowest of Low Profile tires,..and the red tinted glass, are the first things on my list for this heap,...want to get one of those Super Big teardrop hood scoops and rivet it on too, ( Keep it looking kinda' " old School " ),.... and then touch it all up with the lime green racing stripes from the hood all the way back to the trunk lid,..gonna be one cool looking ride. I also have to get rid of that Hurst shifter, ( waaaay too stiff )..and find me a good old 1963 era Fox Craft shifter,..I love the challenge that comes with finding the gears with those beauties,..can't beat'em,..

Wayne.............you forgot the dingle balls around the tops of all the windows Don`t you guys believe him.......he`ll keep it for 3 months and think of something else he can`t live without. Does look good though for a scrub.

LOL Shag,...I am sure that the transmission manufacturers backed Fox Craft 100%,....those damn things just about put the 3 speed tannsmission on the extinct list,..they couldn't build trannys fast enought to keep up with the demand,...on a good night, you could sometimes find all 3 gears using one of those things,...and a bungled bang shift from 1st to 2nd could cost a guy a weeks pay, just that quick.

No,..gonna be married to this one for awhile John,...ain't gonna find anything else out there in the condition that this ones in. Had those dingle balls in a '49 Ford back in '61,...think I may still have them here someplace,..will have to look them up,...:>) :>). Back in the day,..those things would add $5.00 to the price of a car.
Dayuuuuum,,,you should never have shown me those,..and that steering wheel cover is a must have item too,..especially with the matching rear view mirror surround. Is there a Forum called Nightmare Rides, that you find these photo's in teejay,..??,...LMAO,...Good Stuff !!

lol, its been quite awhile since i have seen a shifter boot cover with the big chrome plate cover like pic #3. lol put quite a few in back in the days though. wasn't real cool back then still shifting on the tree. humph, if i remember right it was locate the proper place to cut the hole, cut the hole with a usually dull chisel, non air, which usually meant off a bit and not big enough, non air chisel, take 2 or 3 drives crashing the gears and back to the chisel again. some times the cover plate holes barely made it to metal to be screwed to. put the carpet back over the hole and set the plate and punch a hole down through the plate and the carpet then pull carpet again and look for the punch marks, maybe. punch through lots of times with a spike, they would take more of a hit and easier to hold, then place the carpet again start searching for the hole to put the ity bity chrome screw, if kit was new, that came with the kit into. most times it was a used kit that had used wood screws about an inch or 2 too long but it was in and styling.
2 or 3 days later find the right spot to park leaving easier access under the car on your back, hopefully grassy, with two 1/2" wrench's and your tool of choice to put through shift levers to center them. lots of cursing and swearing with a yelp or 2 and you were done, maybe. both hands usually had a nick or 2 from the curled down steel from the chisel and at least 2 or 3 puncture's from the way too long sharp pointed wood screws and all to be repeated many more time's until you had the $$ for a competition plus which usually went from car to car with you as time went on. not that the plus shifter didn't have some faults, just fewer of them. you didn't have to crawl under, usually on gravel on the side of the road, to manually unlock tranny near as many times i think, maybe. lol
that sort of stuff is all part of being who we are today, maybe. today its air chisel or snips, cordless drill and stands or even a hoist. Ah The Good Old Days! lmao-lol

Very nice car, I really hope you enjoy it. I have always had a soft spot for early full size Chevrolets, my friend had a 63 Impala, ex Park Lane Motors F/S racer. He raced it for a couple of years, quick car. Enjoy your 62 it is a really nice car.

It won't be this weekend Chuck,..too much on the go today,..and I missed my girl today by an hour, that does my Ins. through Hagerty for me. Was just over to Parklane's this morning,..and as soon as I get this vehicle road legal,..we will head up your way. First I will have to get John away from his workplace,..( he's retired you know ),...( like he is ever going to sit back and take it easy,..stubborn old bugger ),...but with some coaxing,..I think I can drag him outta there for a morning, or afternoon cruise. Thank You very much for the compliment on the car,..it is a little gem,..and I do like this one a lot. First one in a long time that I have bought and got it home, and haven't started entirely dissecting it to the point of it being a basket case,...absolutely nothing to do on this thing ( don't know why I bought it ),..with the exception of adjusting the latch on the glove box door.
Do you have one of these old relics too,... same year and all ?? I never knew that,..thought you just had the little Raodster.
the roadster went to Edinburgh Scotland last year. I've had my 57 Chev since '76 and just picked up a really solid 64 MalibuSS. You know it's a long winter and a guy needs something to do.
All I can say is a heartfelt WOW !! That '57 is one Kickass Car Rochie !! That little Malibu looks to be in pretty pristene condition also !!
I forgot that the Roadster went sailing,..I now recall someone did post that sometime back, someone got themselves one sweet little vehicle in that one.
