So after a winter of hibernation what do you do to get your rod ready for a summer of driving? Today I went through the brakes, checked pads and linings, bled the brakes to get the old fluid out of the calipers, checked for leaks and made sure the parking brake was working. Changed oil/filter, greased the suspension and checked the tire pressure. While on the hoist did a visual of the running gear, checked all of the lights. It's been on a battery tender all winter. Now what steps do you take to get your ride ready??
i am in that process my self oldkoot i checked over the red z all the brakes and underneath the car still need to change the oil and as i have just posted i am getting the newly aquired 1983 z/28 ready for the road also have more to do to it also but a work in progress and lastly my 1969 z/28 camaro i am taking apart the front end and upgrading to qa1 coil over kit in the front end hope to have it on the road in a couple of weeks

Well I seen mine to-day ..I had to go through the shop to get my MDX out to some grocery shopping and It's still where I left in the fall..back in behind the lawnmower, the bar-B-q, the wheel barrow it' looks just like I left it..Seems I have so much darn work to with my wife and house work that I just don't have the time to get at it..hopefully some where over the next month I will get at it..It needs about the same thing..Need to change oil & filter, check the belts ,remove and take a visual of the plugs, and replace the fuel filter, probably due for an air filter, pull all the wheels and drums, clean and lube the backing plates, give the drums a little skuff, I need to do some exhaust work on it, it had the fphift, fphft sound so I know it has a leak..Lucky I have my own pipe bender A Ben Pearson professional bender with all the attachment for making flanges'..Should sell it this year.. I like to go through all the lights, wipers, door strikers, I also like to check it all over for loose bolts exhaust hangers, and tire wear, make all the fluids are up and clean and the a/c is working..

Well, living in the wet coast isn't the end all. We lived there in the 70's, and as was said by most, is, if you can see the mountains, its going to rain, and if you can't, it is raining. The one winter, it rained every day, for 56 consecutive days. Not all day long, just every day.
