If you’re looking for some car show action in July here’s your weekend. On Saturday July 18 there’s the Niagara Summer Nationals Custom Car & Bike Show in the little town of Fenwick, Ontario. It’s for rods, customs and bikes and has live entertainment, prizes, vendors, the lot.And if that’s not enough, later the same day and just down the road in Fonthill there’s Summerfest 2022, where you can “Chill on the Hill”.Saturday is the third day of this four day event and there’s a huge street festival on the main street with live bands, outdoor patios, vendors, a licensed food area, even an interactive Kids Zone in the park. The big news though is Sunday. It starts out with a pancake breakfast in the morning, more Kids Zone, licensed food area and vendors, then four of the best live blues bands in the country in the band shell. Finally, there’s the best small town car show in the area in a beautiful park setting.Entrance fee is $10 per car, passengers no charge, first come first served and it runs from 8 to 4.If you’re not familiar with the Niagara Region, there’s tons of stuff to do and see before and after these shows – just Google it!There’s lots of accommodations in the area if you want to make a whole week of it too.The car show has been a big hit in the past (pre Covid) and this one should be fantastic.Hope to see you there.
Just a reminder that Summerfest "Chill on the Hill" in Fonthill is still on, July 14-18, with 4 days of fun for the whole family, including gear heads on Sunday. The Niagara Summer Nationals show in nearby Fenwick has been cancelled but the Sunday car show in Fonthill is still a "go". See you there.
