In the early spring, I get a pallet of bird feed, 35 bags @ 40 lbs. This will last until next Spring, but right now they are going through 10-15 lbs a day. Must be all that sexual activity. We have the feeders outside the kitchen window and it constantly looks like the dinner scene from 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers'.
We just finished up our last bag of seed and that's it. Instead, we put up our birdhouses. Within a few minutes we had 5 birds squabbling over one. Must be this housing shortage we hear about!
