Here is a pic of my firewall.  All the holes are welded, just some grinding and hammer/dolly work to do.  What are the next steps?  Sand the paint? What grit, 80?  I have a random orbital sander but it will not reach the corners.  Do I need to do them by hand?  Same grit as with the sander?   Then prime?, will be using epoxy primer.IMG_20200118_205727.jpg

Yes, exactly as you describe for the first covering of epoxy.
That's as much as I know at this point. I've only covered with epoxy up to now.
I will be scuffing the epoxy with 80 and skim coat with bondo over my million waves followed with epoxy again? or high build ?
Need to research that.

One question. Will you be making a new hole for the steering column?

Thanks, update will come soon in the projects section, once I have something to say.

If you look closely on the drivers side you can see a spot near the bottom of the cab.  The original column went through there along with the break peddle.  That is random knowledge only.  I will be drilling a new hole straight up from there.  I found when playing with the column that the original one was to upright for me.  By going farther up from the hole it will give me a nicer, more modern angle.  I have a new Ididit tilt column for it.
