I nearly lost the end of a finger fighting with the filler hose from Canadian Tire.  It's reinforced with steel and doesn't bend easily.  I see there is clear 2" fuel filler hose at a site called KAR TEK.  Is it safe or legal to use that type of hose?  It doesn't appear to be reinforced at all.  Does anyone recommend anything else ?  That Canadian Tire hose is a pain to work with, literally.

CarQuest or NAPA sell hose that is compatible with gas and oil. I would go there and make sure you like the flexibility before buying. Just make sure you have a good seal between the hose and the tank.

a little liquid dish soap or hand soap helps the hose slide on too. Slide it together before it dries though.

Thank you both very much. I'm heading to NAPA. Man that hurt. But I guess that's another part of this hobby. And I think I was lucky. Thank you again.

Warm it up and shove it on.
I bought a piece on Amazon I believe. Or I used the site to find a brand and model number and then asked my local dude to get it for me.

Thank you everyone. So much to learn. Maybe I should have taken up knitting? The injuries would be less. I imagine there have been some wicked injuries in this hobby. I am impressed to see so many guys who still have all ten fingers when I go to a show.
