I am thinking of buying a set of shrinker/stretchers and a punch and flange tool. Both are on sale at Princess Auto now. The delemia is that i am not sure I need them or if I will have much use for them down the road. I know I want to rework/widen my rear fenders and possible make my own running boards. There are a couple of spots to repair on the body as well but they to cover the side grills and the hole where the gas filler used to be. I think I can buy patch panels for these spots. Looking for your thoughts and opinions.
If you have rust issue at the edges of any body panels, the shrinker and stretcher will be invaluable.
Do you think you may do another project later? If so, then for sure, good to have.

I just attended Pugsy's workshop and fell in love with the shrinker/stretcher. I think you need the English Wheel to compliment it especially working on large areas like fenders and door panels. The best deal on the s/s I've found is a two head floor model for $399 at KMS in Edmonton and no PST. If you knew someone coming back from the west, this would be a deal. Even at that, along with the wheel, some hammers and shaping bowls, you will be in the grand area. I too am trying to justify this expenditure versus some parts that I need. If you weren't quite so far away, we could share.
i have a shrinker/ stretcher you can use anytime. Slip rollers, short break( can't remember the length, +++.
Wow Henry, I did not expect that. You have got to be one of the nicest people on the internet for sure. I will be in touch with you once I have my rims and tires for sure. Thanks so much.
