Hey guys, having problems with my generator from my 352 FE engine in my 61 Galaxie, Got the gen off and apart, but need brushes, and 1 hold down spring for the brush. Can anyone help me get the needed parts, or instruct me on how to change over to an alternator (wiring) including the voltage reg??

John, try Commercial Auto Electric Limited, St Catharines. Last time I rebuilt one of mine that's where I got them. If you need them picked up I can get them for you and mail 'em over - unless you feel like driving down here.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Supposed to be a local that has a few gens that I can steal some parts from. If that doesn't work out, will contact you Joe re: the alternator. Can't see me driving this car enough to justify the alt change over..............but you never know.

Picked up the needed parts today, from a guy living about 6 miles away. Like I mentioned, if the car would be used more, it would have a alt. Thanks guys.
