The progress on the old dragster continues..... after lining up and putting all the body panels on plus the tires.....it's starting to look like a dragster......still lots to do but I'm very blessed to have a few talented pals that have helped me bring this piece of rare Canadian drag racing history back to life. Even the hemi is looking good with some fresh paint...... the story continues.
Thanks guys for the kind words....it's been a long road but I'm definitely getting excited to see the old beast with some paint on the body...lol.....thanks again.
Mark Hopefully we will get past all the current world problems and have that race one day. The dragster is looking awesome. Warren
The match race would be awesome Warren...two Strokers cars on the same track would be so cool. Hope your well and I look forward to see you sometime soon.
Progress still continues .......it's definitely be a long road but the old Galt Strokers dragster is taking shape and already looking fast sitting on all four wheels.

Back at the shop and Richard and I took the time to fit all the body panels back to check how it lines up......I couldn't resist sitting in this very rare Canadian streamliner dragster to see what Andy Marsh the original driver from the Galt Strokers C.C. must have felt like back in 1957.....it definitely is a "time machine".
It was great to get the old streamliner dragster of the Galt Strokers out for some fresh air ....it was pretty cool to see have this dragster put smiles on peoples faces.
Got into the shop on Saturday to work on the dragster and got a awesome surprise... my pal and talented bodyman and painter had laid down the colour on the dragster.... it looked outstanding. It was also very memorable to have Andy Marsh (original Galt Stroker and one of the original drivers of this dragster) take a long look at our progress. It was very touching to see Andy looking at the "Purple People Eater" in silence and then noticing a single tear stream down from under glasses...... it kind a makes it all worth the effort at those moments. Still lots to do but the .... story continues.
My long time pal Danno dropped into the shop this weekend to put the lettering and stripe's on the dragster........ it's really starting to look like the old Galt Strokers machine from 1958...... the story continues :)
I thought I'd put up a few of the current pictures of the "Purple People Eater" ...hard to believe it's come this far.....lol...... just got the first draft done on the book of "Canada's oldest Streamliner Dragster" the other week. Thanks again to you all for the great support and well wishes on this project...it's been much appreciated.
The story still continues......I had the pleasure of showing the Galt Strokers dragster at this years Dragway Memories Show in Hamilton at the War Plane Museum with Andy Marsh the original driver. The old dragster was well received by all the drag racing fans that day and big thanks to all the kind words and support expressed, it's much appreciated. Here's some pictures from the show......"keeping the history alive" :)
