700r4 torque converter

Just getting ready to drop the engine and transmission in and I'm wondering if the converter should have some wiggle?

 

I am pretty sure that the converter is seated all the way back.  I cannot get a finger between it and the bell housing.

The torque converter needs to pull forward a bit in order to bolt it to the flexplate. It should spin freely when the bell housing bolts are tight.

When I bolted it up, i realized then that it moved forward.
