Welcome! Most of my work is done in a home garage by Gary Lyons who recently moved to Campbellford. His an old time car builder that others on here probably know as well. He lives on the highway by the river (northern part) and is building a cool '36 Ford Pickup. I bought some parts from Trent Hills Auto in the south end of town and they give great service.
I also have YOM plates that you may have done. They were a gift and I'm not sure exactly where they came from. My girlfriend Ashley got them for me - 1959 for my truck, if that rings a bell.
Best of luck striking out on your own, and I may need ya sometime to help me out just as Gary has.
Small world Brad, thanks for the kind words man, I expect those plates you have came from one of the online retailers. I don't
keep stock, just restore plates as required by owners! As for Gary Lyons, that name sounds familiar for sure, will have to look him
up since he's in the hood, lol! Oh,and the Trent Hills Auto Parts, Russ was my employer a long, long time ago as I ran a jobber store
for him and Dot in Marmora and occasionally worked the Campbellford and Havelock stores too!
Cheers,
Chris
good for you chris and good luck bud. for the guy's on here who don't know chris or his work capabilities i would confidently say, if he says he can do it then it will be done, he definitely has the pedigree for it in his background. he has been around this old car stuff since he was in diapers and has worked with some of the very best in the business.
have a grin with this chris and again good luck. rick

Rick, thanks a lot buddy and oddly enough the dig about the diapers... May not be that many years before I become full cirlce yet again ,eh?
Drop by some day when you have nothing better to do,still up on the hill, look for the dust storm!
I ended up taking a five month contact for the Municipality running equipment and doing repairs when time allowed for them this winter, today was to be my official last day so Mother Nature the wicked old bag made me wake up early to spread salt and sand yet again. I am now being coaxed in to working tomorrow again as well, after this ( Tuesday ) I will be full swing in the shop if anyone has any fabrication needs or small projects, going to try not to take on any major jobs, just do not have the facility nor do I think I want the overhead involved in having one either.. Small shop, low overhead, country taxes, you;d be surprised how how reasonable my rates can be fellas!
Sounds cool man!! Whats your address then? I'll be at my buddies garage who I mentioned to you before next week at some point (and he just took on two clients with multiple 1st gen camaros they want him to assemble...he lives north of the bridge on the highway) Maybe myself or him and I can drop by and see what you got goin on.
Pretty sure I've figured out who Gary is now, lol. Think he and I passed each other at Trent Hill Auto on Friday,
I was there in my 62 Caddy and he almost fell out of his car checking it out,lol... white beard and an awesome Elvis hairstyle?

I'm half his age and even wish I had half that hair...that's him. I'll be up there for a day or two next week to put a new steering box in my truck with him. If things go smoothly, we'll do a drive by and see if you look to be around and working on stuff.
Guessing that never happened,lol.. Sorry, I keep forgetting to check the forums daily..
