good for you, nice start to a project for sure. one of my most favorite cars out of all the cars i had back in the days was a 66 s/s 2dr h/t. thats a nice solid looking roller to start with and bringing them up from down in that area will save thousand's in parts and labor if you put a value on the labor. what's the plan for it?

The plan is to eventually end up with a turn key, drive anywhere, air conditioned, car that is a complete pleasure to drive. Upgraded front and rear suspension. Probably church boys racing. 5.3 with auto overdrive. My youngest son will be my build partner with this one. But....once I get it home we may try to quickly get it on the road in a rat rod look so it can get safetied and driven while I finish up some other things that need to be sold to fund the real goal.
now isn't that quite a coincidence, lol. i know of someone who just acquired the perfect motor to put into that deuce. you know for a small comish i could hook you 2 guys up and it would be a win-win. lmao i had to.
what was the poop at the border with the so-called new rules in play? just curious is all.

I sold L79 clone to a fellow a few years back and he opted for an LS engine so it has never been used. It may be available. Also, a friend just removed a 2 x 4 Edelbrock setup from his car, too much for his stock 305. It is available. If there is interest, I will put anyone in touch with these guys.

Rich & I are good friends. Nova people helping Nova people. I think he's going 'new technology' for his ride.

The boarder was fine. They are firm on the 72 hrs though. Crossed at Port of Huron. I had all paperwork so all was good. It was a bit tricky sending emails And printing documents but the hotel ( best Western) manager was extremely helpful.
As far as engines go,. Junior is correct. 5.3 with GM hot cam with overdrive. I bought a plain Jane 6cyl glide car so I wouldn't have to worry about restoring it back to original. I appreciate period correct and restored cars but I want turn key drive it back to California and back here reliability and comfort(air). We will see. The sedan is getting done first.
Can't begin to build it for that. Looks like a nice car
Yes and no on that statement IMO. at least for the car that lists at 22500. Depends on if you are building it yourself or paying someone. Of course if you are building it yourself and counting your man hours as if to get paid then your statement is true. LOL.
