Recommend a glass shop?

I'm after a glass professional anywhere between Pickering and Campbellford that has experience when it comes to installing 50's curved front and rear windshields. My glass is OEM stuff and I'd like the job done right the first time.

Can anyone make a recommendation?

Thanks Whitey. I got a quote there once on recovering a bench seat and they wanted near $1000 with me providing the seat cover, so I haven't considered them again. But I should call them up for this anyways for a quote. You never know, it could be a decent price and they could do the job well.

Port Perry Auto Glass. The place beside the ford dealer. They do a lot of old stuff. They did my windshield in my truck. Did a fantastic job.

A peace of rope some soap and a couple of friends . Don't even consider using the the old gaskets , Push with your finger tips and never hit it with your hand.... you will want to but don't .

The service manual will give you all the details on how its done.

I'm working with a 70 year old who owned a body shop for 30+ years and still doesn't want to try it - he says because of the stainless mouldings that I have sitting inside the channels, it will be too difficult. So, a shop it is.

I'll call Trim Tech and Port Perry Auto Glass and let you know what I hear from them, in case it helps anyone reading this for the future.

I didn't call those shops - I'm going with Bill's Truck Shop in Courtice since I have bought parts from there in the past, they do these all the time, they have the glass should mine crack, and it is 5 mins from my house. They are $60 an hour labour and it takes as long as it takes.

that happens a lot. you go searching for something and it ends up being around the corner from where you started. i would think the 60$ and hour is reasonable also.
good luck and let us know how it comes out. it's always good to know of a good place to use for certain specific jobs.

This might be a bit late but just so you know for future use, Four Winds Auto Glass in Peterborough did my ride and I discovered after research that he has done a lot of customs over the years and is involved with customs in his spare time so I went with him. Price seemed reasonable and I'm happy with the result. He is on Aylmer.

I went with Port Perry Autoglass. I thought the price was fair. The service was excellent, too. I'll consider Four Winds in the future if need be, because I'm working up there now. Thanks for sharing that!
