The four day Pelham Summerfest, held in Fonthill, is over and the car show on Sunday proved to be another big success. We had over 100 cars and the mix of models was just what the doctor ordered. Lots of rods, antiques, restorations, muscle cars, pro-street, and even a gasser or two. The weather was great and the rain stayed away until after the show – thanks Mother Nature. As always, the live blues bands were spectacular and well worth the trip on their own. Some of the audience were actually dancing on the grass during their show, and you won’t find better R&B music at any other concert. There were prizes awarded by participant voting and this year the trophies were real cigar box electric guitars, hand made by one of our volunteers and sponsored by local car dealers and other local businesses.
This year’s Summerfest event was the biggest yet. Thanks to all who attended and supported this unique event, and you can bet the Sunday car show will be back again next year, so stay tuned.
