Does anyone know of anyone who transports vehicles for a living,...or a reputable business that does same,..??? Need a car delivered from Brighton Ont.,..to my place in Vienna, Ont. Don't want to jump into a " strange vehicle " and head up the 401 for approx. a 150 mile stretch. Has anyone on here ever went througha service called " Shiply " to get quotes from different companies,..and are they a reliable source to deal through, or a scam ??,..Thank You.
( NOTE ) Found a ride home for the '64 , for Tuesday, 11th.

Yes TMJ,..bought it on Wednesday. Not being that adventurous any more, and hate being late for a meal,..I am just a little skeptical about haulin' ass up the 401 for 150 mile stretch in a strange vehicle,...so I'm on the hunt for a flat bed delivery person / business to do the pick-up for me,.. I had already planned that before buyng the car. Strange,...10 years ago I would have thought nothing of going into any wilderness location and flying someones newly purchased, baffed out friggin' old antique airplane home for them,..I believe my problem is, I just have too much time nowdays to sit around and think too much about what could happen, lol,...gotta get busy again and stop thinking,...

I would have to rent the whole works,..a hauler and a pickup,..and given the location,.( east of the GTA ),....I'd just as soon leave all that up to someone else.

Thank You John, it's a nice little unit. Sporting a fresh 351 Windsor / Cleveland ( ??,..forget ), with all the neat stuff done to it,....aluminum heads, etc. and had a complete resortion done at a reputable shop. Plus it haas an automatic, so the wife will be able to drive this one herself to the cruise nights.
I know a few guys down here in the Brighton area, but they ain't cheap. I can get you a few names if you need. What about U-ship ? www.uship.com/ or Al Wielenga @ 613-475-9802 Ken Beaudry @ 905-355-3960
Just a thought but,,, how about a CAA Premiere membership plan which includes a 1 time 320 k tow. I had my 51 towed from Cambridge to Niagara Falls and if memory serves me my yearly fee was about $120. and the tow was free. Might be worth considering. You will have to check to see if the car has to be licensed but that's a pretty easy fix.
I used the " Shiply Service ",..where the shipping companies contact you by email through Shiply, and forward you a quote on the shipping cost. I found 1 quote that suited me,..not because it was the lowest in price,..but because it was a one man, fully licensed and insured operation " Eazy Precision " out of Midland,..and his reviews from past customers were very good, I also believe in supporting small family type business. Set to go for Tuesday, 11th.
I would consider towing it myself, but my old pickem up truck is getting old (1995). Might end up having the ford tow me..lol
LOL,..I appreciate the thought just the same bowtie. Do you happen to know the car that I just purchased ?? It belonged to Doug Lablanc,..D.L. Services Inc. out of Brighton. Apparently he drove it to a few shows around that area the odd time,..the last one was last Sept. during their Apple Fest meet according to the girl at his offices ( Grace Taylor ) who was handling the sale of the car,...and I might add, who knows her stuff when it comes to vehicles.

Yes I know of Doug Lablanc. Not seen him in years, but I know him well enough to say the car would of had a good home. No expense would be spared when it comes to Doug, so you shouldn't need to worry about that.
Thanks ,...That's exactly what the two gentleman at Doug's warehouse where the car is stored told me,..that " He didn't spare the $$$ when it came to having his cars built ". The '64 Ford is living proof I guess,..it is immaculate.
I've hunted with Doug, he is a pretty good guy. Give Lyle Mutton a call. He has a tile and left ad business and hauls all my junk around at a reasonable price. 613-475-1334 . He works through the da for Tafts auto wrecker.
Thank You Mr. Samis,..appreciate the information,..however, I have found a guy to deliver the vehicle for me,...it's arriving first thing in the morning.
Wayne: Be kind: Grab a couple pictures of the Haulers truck and equipment and share his contact information to help another brother out down the road. And post a recommendation . Thanks and cu-do's on that great looking Ford..
