Well I was asked to tell a little about myself. Left high school a little early and worked a few odd jobs then started working as a Mechanic for companies like Cummins Diesel, Canadian Tire then General motors. Drove a truck for Canada cartage for a few years before working for Mississauga Fire. During my 30 years there I kept up my license and worked as a part time mechanic and drove a truck for SLH Transport on my days off. I retired from Mississauga Fire in September of 2007 and went to Carlsbad California as a business partner in Classic Chevy 5 Speed where I built prototype parts for our transmission kits for classic cars. We were later acquired by B&M Racing and eventually they merged our business into Hurst (yes the shifter company). We then became Hurst Driveline, part of the Hurst family of companies. I left their employ in December of 2016 and have never been busier. I recently sold my 69 Camaro Z28 and now have a late model Corvette and a 68 Chevy C10. Having more fun with this truck than I though I could. The GMJim name was given to me by a friend and it kind of stuck and the name does imply I'm a GM guy. Geeze I got a little carried away here but nobody has asked my about myself in a long time. Looking forward to hangin with car guys and girls here!
