The Robins have been around here in large numbers all winter . Its kind a nice to see them out on the lawn . The other day I had a couple of Grackles in the back yard and I was surprised to see them so soon. They,ll be shivering this weekend though.
London news/weather shows highs for the next week are all above freezing. I know geese stay around all year. At the start of their mating season they start wandering around in pairs. I have already noticed two different pairs or couples out strolling around on dates. TMJ
I am pretty much right on Lake Erie,...and evry day there are flocks of Swans going over,...Robins here all winter also,...been feeding the hell out of them.
So,if you have a natural instinct to head to warmer weather knowing there is food and all your needs are looked after, why would you stay here? And I seen 3 robins about a week ago as well. Sure hoped they found somewhere warm to go.
A bunch of Robins around here! But the farther north I go, the crazier the weather...it was 82 degrees here on Friday at 3pm. I went inside to do a job and 1 1/2 hours later when I came back out it was 43 degrees!!!!! WTH?
