Selling this to make room in the shop for another car I found that I have been looking for, so no car trades for this car - need the cash to buy the other car!
1980 Camaro Z28 Project car, originally Silver with blue stripes and interior, t top car with only 44,000 original km. Originally a 350/Th350 car.
The story - I bought this to build, but recently found a very rare car that I have been looking for. I want to buy the rare car, which means something must go to free up funds. This car was owned by a hot rod builder who ended up parting it out for his hot rods. I have put it back together with help from a couple of parts cars. This is an easy build since there is very little rust.
The good:
Super solid car. Floors are mint and have been bedlined to keep them that way. Rear frame rails still have the factory silver paint on them. Quarters and cowl are very nice, and the cowl still has all the assembly line markings on it. The trunk, front fenders, nose, air injection hood, trunk lid are all very nice. The front sub frame has been blasted and painted with epoxy. There are new urethane body mounts. Has N90 wheels, air induction hood, and all glass but the windshield. The dash is pretty nice with no major cracks (has minor surface cracking where a stick was). Interior is complete. Lots of parts go with it. This is a super solid car to build. Body is only missing a few Z28 specific trim parts which easily available (grill and headlight surrounds), but comes with Berlinetta ones instead. There are multiples of many parts that go with this car - noses, doors, interior parts, etc.
The bad:
No engine or transmission. But I have a 350 that is supposed to be a runner available for cheap if someone buys the car. The interior is complete, but not in the greatest shape. The rear seats, carpet, and one of the sets of door panels is nice (there are a couple sets that go with the car), but the front seats are pretty worn out. It will also need a headliner. The rear valance panel that is hidden behind the bumper is bad on this car and should be patched or replaced. There is a minor rust spot on the rad support (new ones are $350 or patch it), and the passenger door and dash corners have rust. Both are easily repairable. There is no gas tank, but it is easily available and pretty cheap ($140). There are N90 wheels, but only 3 of them. The rear end is currently only loosely bolted in, as I am waiting for the rear axle isolators I ordered. They will go with the car, but it rolls easily. Rear is the factory 3.08 gear.
The car is currently partially disassembled since I was slowly working on it, and can be seen near Port Perry in my shop.
