We live in the country. At night, unless a car is passing, you can be outside and barely see your hand in front of your face. At 5PM yesterday, I was outside with a neighbour and we commented how dark it was. At 11:30 PM I looked out the window and saw day light. I went outside and the whole area was lit up. I could see clearly back to the tree line a kilometer away. Had there been any animals in the field, they would have been plainly visible. The moon was high in the sky and looked like a theatre spotlight. I have never seen it so bright in all my 72 years. It was awesome, beautiful and exciting.
