for years 2 of my brothers and a brother-in-law have been deer hunting here at the house, bonding if you like, lol. over the years we haven't applied for doe tags as we usually end up with one maybe 2 bucks and all is good but this year its been all doe's and no bucks. this has happened a couple of times before and no big deal as we are having a grin and fixing all the family woe's, lol, and with 6 of us and in-laws there is lots to fix, lol.
usually its up by 5 ish take your hangover medicine of choice and in our stands by 6 ish and wait. back to the house by 9-9;30 if no shooting and repeat again about 4 in the afternoon after a hearty meal and a big nap. yesterday was the same but after our brekky right out the back off the deck at about 75 to a 100 yds here is the scene. 2 good sized doe's and a 8 or 10 pt buck. didn't get the camera in time for the buck but here is his 2 dates.
no big deal but we had a good laugh and its time to start again today. i am seriously thinking pulling up a chair on the deck with a coffee and bailies and save the trip to my stand but the guys are frowning on it. lmao just thought i would share.
when i say no big deal its because when the shooting starts the work begins and i really don't need the meat but its family and that's what counts.
Not being a hunter, I don't understand why you need special permits for Does.. Hell Trump took out a major one with no special permit...And we have a higher ratio of them that needs thinning out, like nasty elizabeth warren, junk-yard dog wynn just a couple that came to me ... .. I guess it's the work part after the shooting that slows hunters down ..nobody wants any of that Liberal meat ... Sounds like your having a good time there Rick.. keep your saftey on..
