Wow! I just received a response to an ad I posted in Kijiji. How in the world can someone post this message and have the nerve to call me an idiot.
I guess that's my rant for the day.
PARTS FOR SALE !!! THEY HAVE A LISTING FOR PARTS !! WE ARE LOOKING IN CARS FOR SALE FOR CARS FOR SALE !! NOT LOOKING FOR A BOOK IN CARS FOR SALE !!! CAUSE I'M NOT A RETARD !! IT DOES NOT GET SEEN BY MORE IN THIS LISTING IT MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT WHO CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHAT LISTING TO USE !! Kijiji Ad ID:
The problem with the parts section is it's full of used tire ads so to find your parts a shopper has to Wade through thousands of ads for tires that should have gone to the recyclers . IMO there should be a section for antique auto parts.
I agree, its full of tires and it makes sense if its classics to put it under classics.
I personally hate Kijij because it is full of ignorant trolls that have no balls to deal in pearson where they would not dare to speak in such a tone for fear!
Anyone can play tough behind a keyboard, there's nothing like having the same idiot in front of you and threatening him to within an inch of his worthless life!

Bruce, don't let that self centered " Mr. Automotive himself " ( Keyboard Warrior ) get to you. I know exactly who this dip-shiiit is,..( actually met him once ),..and that was one time too many. He is forever planting posts in Kijiji, hammering people for selling " questionables " in the Classic car section ( I agree, some of those 2008 / 2012 / 2014, Mercedes, Mazdas, etc. that you see on there are a bit out of line,..and probably posted by " Curb salesmen " out of the GTA ),...but this moron goes overboard at times. Matter of fact,..just got one of those phantom kijiji emails from him myself not too long ago, informing me of what my '62 Biscayne is really worth, ( simply because he is looking for one ). He sells parts also,..and believe me they are not cheap,...anything anyone else has in the automotive line of parts etc. is scrap iron as far as he is concerned,...but he can sure build a story behind that iron smelter material that he is peddling. The guy is so full of Schiit it's pathetic. He also went to the trouble of informing KIJIJI that I was a " Dealer ",..when I was advertising my Model A on there,..and Kijiji deleted both of my adds, and forwarded me a message stating why,..I wasn't long informing them who, and what they were dealing with in regards to their " Informant ",...and less than ten minutes later I recieved a message back from Kijiji staff with an apology,..and the go-ahead to re list my adds. The moron is a sorry excuse of a back stabbing looser. He hails from up around Dresden / Florence way.
Thanks for the explanation about the keyboard warrior. This is the first time getting such a response from this person but it is good to know he's a repeat offender.
I thought for a while as to what kind of a reply to give him and I decided to go the nice way. This is what I said to him.
"I'm sorry if my ad is not in the right spot and I will try to move it to an area where it belongs. Thank you for pointing out my error."
Of course I have no intention of moving my ad because it gets more exposure where it is.
As others have posted here, it would be a good idea if Kijiji added a special section for Hot Rod and Custom Parts. I will send an email to them to see what happens.
They really should have a section for " Classic Car / Hot Rod Parts ", Bruce. The Auto Parts section is a mangled mess,...and one could search for days and never find what you are looking for if you are not familiar with navigating the Parts Departments.
I think it makes total commonsense to post any hot-rod, antique, or special interest car or truck parts in the classic car section .. It's the logical place to post that stuff. kijiji is way behind on recognizing that.. I see many people do that.. Just because kijiji is behind on their categories, most old car people are smart enough to figure it's the correct place to post your old car or hot-rod stuff.. If enough of us do it kijiji will eventually figure it out..

I sent an email to Kijiji asking for a classic and hot rod parts section and they said they will look into it. Here is the reply I received from them.
"This is a great suggestion. I can certainly see how it would benefit you and many of our community members. Bruce, I will personally forward this along to our product team so they can look into it further and hopefully we can make it happen. "
Maybe a good time for us all to get on the band wagon and send in a request such as Bruce forwarded to Kijiji. If they see that there is enough interest, they may follow through with the suggestion. As the rules are now,...one is allowed two ads running in the same category ( ie: Classic Cars ),...so if you have a Classic listed in two separate area's,.. you have used up your quota for ad space if one did want to advertise some " Specialized " parts. Probably a lot of interesting stuff out there that would surface if Kijiji did start up such a category.
Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us with your feedback. Suggestions are always welcome. In fact, it’s knowing what our users want that help us shape Kijiji, so thank you!

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts with us. Have a great day!
LMAO,...judging by Kijiji's response to all of our suggestion,...I'm thinking that all we have succeeded in doing, is we have awakened a Robot, programmed to deliver one specific answer to anyone making suggestions to Kijiji's elite team,.....Yep,...I'm betting Antoine is a Robot !! Also,...I am guessing that Antoine also works out of Queens Park, and the Parliament Buildings,...this response is highly suspicious of a bullschiit answer one would recieve from Trudeau, and Wynne,...( IMHO ).

I am on my way back from Edmonton where I built a new store for my daughter. I used Kijiji extensively, hiring a laborer, a t-bar installer, a glass cutter, a dry wall installer and taper and purchased about ten display items for the store. Every transaction went without a hitch. I have sold and bought on Kijiji many time over the past years and never had a problem. I don't own shares in the company, just sayin'.
I agree completely on the classic car section broken down into cars, parts and services. This could apply to many of their other categories. Since they are now owned by EBAY, maybe some search changes will be forth coming.
I'm all for a classic parts for sale section. My concern is the person that thinks his 2009 KIA used parts are classic parts. While we are on the KIJIJI topic. Ever notice how many ads start off with "wanted".. Then they tell the condition of the car they are actually trying to sell. Why advertise it wanted if it's for sale? TMJ
Bruce,
You're not the only one, I too put my ad in the classic car section because it does get more exposure. Also, takes a few more days to get buried further in the pages.
If it happens again there is the option to report the email to KIJIJI, I'd rather forward it to them than reply back to the ID10T.

Thanks Frank,
Thanks for the suggestion of an email to Kijiji.
Last night I read through the classic car section of Kijiji and there were a large number of posts for parts in that section so maybe there is a need to have a separate section for classic and hot rod parts. Let's hope they take our suggestion to heart.
