Pretty soon cars will be nothing more than something to get you where you need to go... :(

I can forsee some manufacturer coming out with a “drone” car. Never mind the car driving itself while you just sit there admiring the view, how about a car that you’re not even in! Just send a text message to the car “go get beer” and it starts up, drives to the beer store, the robot at the beer store loads the brew, and the car comes home. Remember the people on the mothership in the movie “WALL-E”?. Same idea. Not in my driveway, ever.

I would think Winnie the Shrew would be all over this. Driverless cars in 5 years. If no driver is required no drivers license is required which could mean a significant drop in income for Winnie. What will she do then? Who will she do it to?

OH. Silly me , there will be an election before that so hopefully we won,t find out.

I'm curious how insurance would work.
Who's going to be responsible in an accident?

Is Ford going to be liable for any accidents that car gets into, cause there's no driver to blame...

Who is pushing this agenda? Has anyone ever asked if people actually enjoy driving automobiles?

Sorry, I while I understand the technology can make it happen is that what the masses truly want?

I enjoy driving. I enjoy my cars. I fear the new generation who will be attracted by this will simply become lumps on a couch playing games. Oh wait that has already happened. Sorry.

It's a weird new world coming in the transportation field. I can't even begin to imagine what it will be like in 50 years..It seems like all the fun and joy of having a car will not be the same anymore for sure..I really wonder how the end for old cars and classics will come. I can see a day when we or hot rods will be banned from the highways in the interest of the environment or safety of driver less cars..Looks like we are moving into the space age in transportation.. Although it has been coming for years. Just look at how much cars have evolved over the last few years especially since the mid ninety's.. I know a few guys who were licensed techs and they dropped out of the trade for one reason or another for a few years and even now they are so behind they can no longer understand hardly anything to service their own car..I had continued to work up untill just a year ago now and I am allready falling behind with all the diagnostic equipment and changes in the last 3 to 4 years.. I wonder how long it will be before they develop a synthetic fuel  as I just don't see EV's ever being a viable alternative for most rural community's....
