I thought the wooden truck drew some positive comments and stuff and I said I would post some more of the wooden stuff I have made. Here are some pictures of an excavator that I built a couple of years ago. It is make of maple and the dark wood is jatoba, I think. It was some left over wood from a previous project. The scale is the same as the truck and I have had the two on display at the same time. Currently they are in hiding, my wife does not like them that much. I would sell them if someone is interested. Same for the truck. Like the truck I have a set of drawings for them and went from there to add my own touches. The tracks were a bit tricky to make but turned out well. The whole track system moves on the wheels and boggy wheels. The hydraulics all move in and out as they are suppose to. The shinny part is stainless steel rod to make it look a bit more real.
Your wood creations are just magnificent Marten.. I love them and appreciate the time, talent and patience it must take to make them. Great workmanship. Thanks a lot for sharing them with us..

Thanks guys for the feed back. Greatly appreciated. They are lots of fun to build and a great escape. Gives me the same feeling that a lot of you get when in the garage working on the cars you build, although I have fun with that now as well. As for selling them, good question. I had someone else ask me and said that I would sell the truck and trailer for $250.00 and excavator for $250.00 as well. I have no idea what they are worth. I have heard of people doing this and asking over $1000.00 for them as they were able to convince someone there are total customs using no drawings, but asking and getting are two different things as well. So if someone wants to buy them but thinks it should be sold for more (or less) I am open to talking as well. How's that for honesty. All money from the sale of them would end up in my hot rod.
