Hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot ......it was so hot I saw a dog chasing a cat and they were both walking !

My outside temp gauge showed 36 degrees yesterday afternoon with little or no wind . It kept the car count down to about 100 + I would say , maybe half of what usually shows up .

I spent 4 hours talking with old friends as well as meeting new people and talking cars . ....it was a good time but I could only handle 4 hours worth .

I didn't take pics of the "usual suspects" from the weekly Wednesday cruise ......these are almost all guys and gals from around Essex County ......

Bad to the bone 85 Mustang has a 406 stroker ,C-4 , full cage and is dialed in to run 11.5's

Nice 73 Cutlass and it sounded strong

I think this is a Ford powered Sunbeam ....not sure

I called this a 39 the Wednesday cruise but it is a 40 Standard Coupe

Nice old Caddy

Beautiful 65 Impala I haven't seen

Another nice GTO belongs to an old friend of mine ....he's had the car 35 years

Nice 62 Grand Prix ...always liked those finned wheels

Nice Pictures Terry.. Thanks for bearing the heat to take and post them.. It is just to hot for me to bother even going out when it's just so nice and cool at home..Think I am going to access some of the benefits of being retired and have a nap on the couchterfield .. I have many times wanted to that when I was going back to work after lunch.. now I can..biggrin

Bonnie made me a nice sandwich to take and I put it and some Gator Aid in my cooler , took my lawn chair and sat in the shade of a grocery story along the main street . The heat was wicked for anyone with respiratory issues etc ..........also not good for pets . Most rods did not have air so that must have been a miserable drive to and from .

Good to know TMJ , I was going by the grille that I thought made it a 39 but the owner said that style was used on the 40 Standard .

Yeah I knew about the carry over with the pick-me-ups but wasn't aware of the deal with the cars . Never had a 40 but it is one of my favs .....this black one will be for sale when the guy finishes another car .....he has about a half dozen rods .

Teejay.
That 40 Standard nearly dropped me to my knees. Jeezzz I like that. The little black sports car with the hood bulge is a Triumph TR4, but I think the 4 banger is somewhere in the garage and NOT under the hood

Wayne , the 40 belongs to Kenny Gibbs who you probably know ....owns Windsor Auto Electric I believe . Kenny didn't build it but when he bought it , the car had yellow flames on the front end . He painted over it with black so it has a ghost flame feel to it . Car is powered by a 305 Chebbie ., has BMW seats and all black leather interior .

That TR4 looks a lot more like a early 70s tr6 to me.. I had one of them and I would bet it's a TR6.. the 4s had  completely different front fenders and doors..
