This post is for Red-Oak I am basically just posting the pictures he can fill in the "Rest-of The- story"
" I have a buddy in a scooter that is a bit older than I am I ordered one for him because when I was about 8 years old he use to pick up me and my buddies in his coronet light up the tires take us around the block and tell us not to tell on him he is a great old hot-rodder that got an illness and is now confined to his scooter. He will look Kool with a rodder shirt on and a decal on his ride"
I had an older friend who made a significant impact on me growing up. He was a car guy through and through and did not mind spending time with us to teach us, make us laugh and introduce us to the sport of drag racing. He is gone now, Rest In Peace, but I will never forget him.

it is funny he says my car is just a toy and aint no rod he just loves Chucks car telling me that's a rod he knows Chuck's car but has never met Chuck and has no idea that Chuck and I are friends. Chuck is going to pull him over on his scooter and give him the thrill of his life.
Good on you for doing this Greg.. I would say by the smile on his face you made his day..That T-shirt looks great on him and he looks good in it. Too many times we get so busy in our life and although we have good intentions, Sometimes we forget the people that came and went in our life and never take the time to do a good deed, till we are at the funeral..I had a few friends that I knew well but life ,time and location came between us and I lost that opportunity to tell them how much they meant to me as a friend until it was to late. This is a good reminder to take the time to brighten and old rodder friends day if you can.. or any other person that offered a mentoring hand to you when you were growing up.. I think this was a good deed.. Good for you.. and thanks for sharing it with us..
