Well boys and girls , it took a while due to our drought , bur C-O-T-C is finally here ! There's a stand in Belle River that sells wonderful corn and I pig out on the stuff every year . My dear wife makes a great potato salad , prepares 1" thick burgers with fresh hamburger ( not the frozen patties ) , which I B-B-Q with a slice of old cheddar cheese topping . Boil the corn for 3 minutes , slather on butter , salt and pepper ......HEAVEN ! For the next couple of months .
....then a nap

Daughter is coming up from Belle River this weekend with the grand kids-will tell her to bring some up-I think we are about 2 weeks away from and corn around here.
Keep on cruising!!!
Dave
It's one season I can't wait for but I have to say that last couple of weeks I was in Vancouver/Victoria, BC.
Had dinner at my wife's niece's place and they had some local cobs. The taste beat any local Ontario corn I have tasted in years.
Reminds me of several years ago .....end of the corn season I went to the stand and bought all they had left ....had tobe 100+ cobs for about 10 bucks . I par-boiled them and froze them for winter corn eating . My wife gave me " The Look " ...........y'all know the look ....so that was the last time for that .

We do our corn on the BBQ. Pull part of the husk back, squeeze on some lemon juice, put husk as before and wrap in tin foil. Oh Ya.
John,
I haven't heard of it done with lemon juice.
I sit the whole corn in a big bucket of water for a couple of hours then throw on the BBQ or my fire pit. Will have to try adding some lemon to it next time.
