Several incidents brought emergency services to a Cayuga racetrack Saturday.
A 911 call at about 3:45 reported a man with amputated fingers and a partially amputated hand at a racetrack in Cayuga.
An air ambulance was called to the Motorsports Park at 1040 Kohler Rd., but in the end the man was transported by land ambulance. His severed fingers were put on ice and sent with him.
His injuries are serious but not life-threatening, said Const. Ed Sanchuk of Norfolk County OPP.
Haldimand County Fire Chief Rob Grimwood said the man reached into the engine while it was still running.
It was one of three separate incidents Saturday afternoon at the racetrack, which was hosting the seventh annual Canadian Nitro Nationals on the weekend.
A man also fell from the stands at the event. His condition is unknown.
There was also a motorcycle crash with unknown injuries.
