Welcome Larry, Thanks for a great intro: Appreciated by all. Good story's about your car and growing up with a love for the Beaumont's..I like the dog part too.. I have always been a dog lover.. I have a schnauzer my best bud but a bed hog.. Thanks for joining up with us. I hope you will enjoy being here.. If I can help with anything don't hesitate to PM me..I'm here to make this place a good place to visit and share ... couple pics of my boy Riley..He is a raw food raised boy Lots of raw chicken
Welcome from St. Catharines. That is my all time favorite body style from GM, and a big block too. Have fun.
1966-67 Classic roof line characterized by having the rear glass in a tunnel, since the roof was joined to the trunk through two small fins ...always stole my heart.
Referred to this good body styling as being "timeless", much like the '57 Chev. Bel Air / just 10 years later - guess their could be worse obsessions......in life.
Beaumonts hold a special place in my heart as well. I have owned several with one being an 67 SD like yours. I paid 200.00 back in the day and drove the wheels off of it. The 396 wouldn't rev past 6000 rpm and when it did it always puked a rocker arm or valve spring. But they were easy to fix and back on the road in hours.
My next one may be a Yorkie as we will have to be selling and downsizing soon..Wife is ill and will need more care soon...Riley is 11 this Oct.. Still can run circles around me and I am not fast enough to catch him with a soccer ball he can push that soccer ball all over the field with his shoulder.. loves to play soccer .. I so wish he was only 2 again .. I don't think anybody in my family wants to anywhere near me when Riley goes.. I love that dog so much I am going to be totally devastated if anything happens to Riley ..He is basically with me in my back pocket every where I go he follows me from room to room in the house ..He has a lazy boy chair right beside mine wife has a t.V. in the living room I have my TV and lazy boys in my office and computer room which is just at the one end of our Bedroom..Riley pretty much just crawls under my armpit at night .. Anyway I could talk about him all day so I better go .. I like you Doberman ..and Yorkies can be clipped almost to look like toy schnauzers..I am a real dog guy I do all his clips my self..before Riley I had 4 Shepards over the last 40 some years never like small dogs till I got Riley .. He just doesn't know he is a small dog he is to damn brave .. He had a coon cornered out here last week that I had to shoot.. The scare the hell out of me.. I have a neighbour that had two Dobermans and a couples coons sucked those dogs out in the creek and drowned both of those Dobermans.. that was just about 4 years ago.... I like dogs as much as old iron..

Brian, thanks for sharing your 67 SD story / $200 purchase, your killing me buddy...share a photo of it, if available. - your bio is quite similar to mine / slowed hobby down for 20 years (for sons competitive sports) and also had a Model T & a 1931-5 window coupe once
- plus love my square body Chev. trucks, have a few... Frame-on restoration, on my 1978 Chev. 3/4Ton 4x4 / cab rebuilt in-house, frame blasted & put in urethane top coat, much dealer NOS sheet metal added.
- long box was a Wiltsie takeoff (in Alymer) / took 2 years to locate, and appeared to be a ghost story / finally found it in city's airport hanger
Chuck - Yea, I didn't care (as much) for a small dog either, until our son brought puppy Trevor home / now we would take him, in a minute. - like Riley just fearless, years ago he chased a fox in London subdivision / and he listened to me, when I called him off My former Amy was my heart-dog, she was my shadow & humanized smart / once retired, she started reading my mind & read people. - just so en-tune, with thy loving master
The day I got my original paint John Deere 318 (with 470 Onan hours) / former Amy lays down beside trailer to sun bathe & keep an eye on it.
- dobe always protecting stuff
Last night I Kijiji purchased a nice 30" Hydraulic Tiller, for the garden tractor.
- now need to find a rear PTO setup and probably get a new Ruegg 3 point hitch / unless someone has this stuff, kicking around
