I was thinking the same thing but didn't wanna be the one to say it. lol

Although it is his truck, build it how you see yourself enjoying it. (I'm personally a fan of bench seats)

HaHa,,, not very smart but observant

There was a guy from Grand Bend that was at the Delaware swap meet that had a pair for sale made out of a old (20 gallon or so) garage grease barrel.

Seriously though comfort is king!!

Just my opinion TMJ

Bahahaha!

Thanks guys I was just toying with the idea and I would not compromise style but had a look in mind.
I have a set of BMW seats but am not happy with the look of the skirt around the bottom. I'm not able to go with a bench as I have a Tremec T-56 trains and it is long.
If I go with this option I would line the doors and parts of the cab with aluminum and brush, dimple it then scotch Briite, clear powder coat.

Still only an idea also it will wait until the truck is on the road.

Thank you Slim, that's the basic tranny, mine is a Ford Racing 03/04 Cobra SVT part, I can move the shifter I'm sure, mine is at the back position and I've set up everything around that as I'm trying not to spend any money going backwards. I have seats that fit but they are not the quite the look I'm after, I will take my time figuring the interior out as it all works.

I may attempt to build an aluminum Bomber seat to try it out, I like the look of them.

Thank you,

Angelo

as for the skirt around the bottom i had the same problem with the look on the 50 f-1. i had a lady make up a set of skirts from black leather and then i put 3 pc's of velcro on the the skirt and seat to attach them along the bottom of the seat. it actually looks not bad and their removable if need be. i am going to ask, beg or grovel if need be for her to make another set out of matching material to the seat bottoms and backs which is a grey/black tweed look with the black leather surround trim. the floor carpet is a dark charcoal with a black center consul and it all blends in, somehow.

just throwing it out there

Great idea Rick I will come up with something but I like this idea the seats are small and euro car comfy with lots o adjustment but the plastic cover does not look right.
Thank you for your input when convenient perhaps you could send a photo?

mine aren't that exotic but i had to have some width taken out of the bottom seat and the head rest taken off to fit. no adjustment either and it's a very cozy cab. lol

I was in Rhinebeck this weekend and while walking through one of the vendor buildings, I thought of you. This young fellow was there selling bomber seats and the build and quality was amazing. Everything is plazma cut and formed. Welding is meticulous and every hole is die formed after being cut. For the quality, his prices were reasonable. Check out his web site at www.bomberseats.com
