One thing I noticed in a lot of race clips. There are no spectaters The bleachers are virtually empty. I can see the strips dying if there is nobody buying tickets. I remember back in the 60s the bleachers were full every week-end. I look back at some of my albums from the sixties and the stands were packed I remember it was like we all went to Sparta on the week-ends. Now I know every once in a while I go past the Bend as it's about 1/2 hr from here and the place looks deserted on the week-ends the spectators parking lot is empty..It is a different generation I guess. The other thing is the cost of  Car stuff has gotten hugely expensive..and we don't have an abundance of V8 rear wheel drive Detroit muscle that is affordable to the average working guy anymore..at least that's the way it seems to me..
