Every Wednesday at a Sobie's mall in Windsor , the locals bring out their various rides . It's only about 5 minutes from my house so I like to scoot over whenever I can . Last Wednesday saw about 50 vehicles . I'm noticing a lot more new or almost new cars ....not that there is anything wrong with that , but I prefer the oldies . I confess that I was going to take a lot of pics but only managed a paltry 3 this week .....too busy shooting the breeze with all the guys I haven't seen over the winter . Next Wednesday I promise to take more and simply add them to this thread ,.
The 47 Ford is a very subtle rod , painted in a brownish grey metallic ( dark taupe I guess ) it sports no bumpers and not much chrome , a 302 Ford with AOD , Lincoln seats and a custom made console and really quality work . Under the hood is neat as a pin ....car has PS and PB . Nice ride .
The 3 -window I haven't seen before and is still unfinished as to details .

The last pic , the 83 Mustang convert ...car is for sale at $8500 ......looks like new , body , interior and top ...is a 6 cyl automatic and ||I have his number if anyone is interested . It would be a nice cruiser like it is or ....I'm envisioning a 347 stroker
Thanks for those pictures.. the fist picture on 2nd night that 36 Chev was my old car .. I sold it to a guy named Oscar that's all I can remember . That was 7 or so years ago. That the first time I have seen it since.. I thought he had ripped it all apart to redo the car but that looks like it exactly the same as I sold it right down to same wheels .. It should be in the one I wish I never sold. I had that car for almost 20 years..never gave me one minutes trouble..My wife cried when I sold that car and my oldest boy always thought he was going to have it .. But I offered it to him for a lot less than I sold it for.. kids always think they get every thing free..
another picture of my old 36 when we took it Ohio for a week-end trip to the heavenly 50s show in I think it was Mansfield Ohio..
I have seen that 36 up close and its very nicely done. I bought the 350 tranny and shifter off of him about 3 years ago. He put a 700 tranny in it and had a tuned port 305 sitting in the garage for installation over the winter. Looks like its in and all together.
So THAT'S the Oscar connection , Chuck , .....a couple of people were asking me if I knew Oscar because he was from Belle River . Like you , I don't live in the town of the postal address , so never knew him . I'll have a chat with him next time he shows up ,,,,small world , eh ??

I am thinking I wish I had not seen it .. Sometimes it makes for emotional feelings..I have strong ties to that old chevy.. Sometimes you regret things but under the circumstances it was a time it had to be done.. I had the same issues with my coupe years ago I sold it twice and got it back but It's just not in the cards anymore to be doing that.. I am very close to not having a car soon. The coupe is going to have to go also I am tinking I might have about 4 years left and I have to move to a much smaller place with just a daily driver..I am fast reaching an age and health that I can barely look after this place and it takes all the time I have and more to keep up the maintenance and continuing repairs that come with owning a large property in the country and getting old.. I have no regrets I had a great life .. great family, and the good Lord has been good to my family..and I will have enough great memory's to last till I get bar-b-ed ....

The white 34 Ford was owned by a younger couple ( in their 40's I think ) ...it is a kit car and there is no paint on it ....that's the gel-coat you're seeing . Small block Ford powered and AOD trans with a Ford 8 1/2 rear . Both Steve and his wife Claire work on the car ....nice to see his wife's interest in it ........she did much of the interior work apparently . It's been an off and on project over the years because of job layoffs but they love their rod and built it in a one car garage . Good folks .

The 41 Ford pick-me-up is the one I like ....fella named Harry owner and builder , SBF power if I remember a discussion last summer . Looks like Harry has freshened it over the winter . I'm not a huge fan of velvet paint ( but it's growing on me ) but this rig looks nice ....hadn't seen the tag along until last night .

Yes I like the '41 too except the "bobbybigrigger" lights on the roof kind of takes away from the look. That trim on the front edge of the hood is super rare and out of my price range. .
Night 3 and a lesser crowd due to the threat of rain .....did get some sprinkles and everyone scattered .
Wayne I asked around about a Model A with no success at least tonight . I'll keep asking . One guy has had success on EBay in the past and wondered if you had been there . He found his 26 on Ebay , in Indiana I think .....pic to follow .
Top . 1926 Ford .......also the slowest car in town as I followed him part way home at about 20 mph
1. 1950 Shoebox for sale , $19500 , has flattie 6 cyl , WHIP AERIAL !! and old school mods .
2.!956 Ford , 292 Y- Block , Merc tail lights , nice original style interior $18000
3. !963 Galaxie , done up 390 stroked to whatever cubes , original paint ! This is owned by long time friend and former customer when I was in the car business ( Ford ). Tom has had it for sale off and on for about $25K U.S if I remember . Nice , straight and original except for motor and trans .
4 . 53 Stude ( think I got the year right ) and STUDE POWERED !! ( was expecting the usual sbc ) and neat as a pin inside , out and underneath .

Night Four : Clear and cool ...really perfect for cruisin' , but a bit of a lower turn out than what I expected .......thoght I would get some other vehicles than the usual crowd and give the newer guys their due . So here goes in no particular order .
Week 5 pics ....pretty good turnout but there were forcasted storms much of the day and it may have kept people home . Here are some of the cars that haven't come out before :
Red 53 Ford , Chevy 350 , narrowed Chevy box
Nice silver 32 Chevy 3 window ...doesn't have suicide doors like the Ford !
I'll take your word for it .....I looked at the sides of the hood and thought the louvers were not 32 Chevy . The guy said it was a 32 unless I obviously heard him wrong since I am going deaf in one ear .

A very good turn out of about 80 cars this week in spite of threatened storms.........I wanted to get the " 32-34 Chevy " deal figured out as 33Guy set me straight on the car but I was wondering who the hell had a 32 Chevy ....maybe I was having a " senior moment " . Fortunately the owner of the white 34 Chevy was on hand and told me there IS a 32 Chevy around , but it is yellow . Since my conversation with the 32 Chevy guy was 3 years ago I guess I " mis-remembered " as Roger Clemens would say .
This 34 Ford is my favourite car of all the cruisers and owner Mike finally came out this week . It is perfect inside and out and has a late 40's Merc flattie . Car is all steel
This little 53 ( I think ) Morris is owned by a very pleasant English gentleman, Derek , who I chatted with for several minutes
62 T-Bird has a 390 in it ...always got a kick out of the movable steering wheel that shifts to the right for easy access
We got a much , much needed rain in this area , keeping the cruisers at home but making a lot of folks happy ....especially farmers . I only have to worry about my brown lawn ...they might lose their crops !

A decent turnout tonight especially with the 30 degree temps ........
.....first up is a beautiful 53 Chev 210 Hardtop , Blue Flame 6 with Powerglide . Saskatchewan car originally and current owner sez he's had the car 10 years .
For some reason I was humming " Maybelline " while I was taking this last pic
I missed last Wednesday's cruise due to the extreme heat .....last night was a bit more tolerable although attendance was down . There were a few new folks who showed up to show off ....either that or maybe my feeble mind forgot about them
This 55 Belaire hasn't been to this area before ( he told me so ) ....sports a 400 small block done up to about 450 horses , has a Muncie 4 speed , flip front end etc .
''''Haven't seen the orange , orange interior !! , big block Chevy Deuce before
The 66 or 67 Fairlane convert was triple black and a 289 powered beauty ...
Hadn't seen this tough looking camino ,,,has 396 badging but the owner wasn't around to ask further questions
I may have posting this 40ish pickup before but it's worth showing again
Not many cars showed up tonight , nothing to report ....32 degrees with high humidity at 6 pm !! .......then some guy pulls up in a 95 Neon !! ....I knew it was time to leave . Maybe next week we can get some temperature relief .

This is a great thread. Nice to see cars from other areas. You have some nice stuff in your area.
Have to agree with 33 guy though. That light or silver Chevy 3 window coupe posted back in mid June is a '34 Master. I had one way back. '35 Standard is pretty much the same.
