I have a few friends who are commercial airline pilots and they have a saying when reviewing their flight assignments..."if it is a Boeing, I am not going". They will not elaborate on why, but perhaps where they are made might have something to do with it.
Thanks for clarifying Dave, doesn't explain why the pilots I know don't like the brand...will have to press them for more info. Could be as simple as brand loyalty as they refer to themselves as "bus drivers" (Airbus).
Well it is made on an assembly line, so anything can go wrong.
But Boeing does have a fairly good safety record.
I'm sure the AirBus is newer and easier to fly. Not that I would like to try.
They are big.
Boeing and Boeing Field were clients of my past employer,I dealt with them many times and were a great group to deal with, had a few peeks inside at the Seattle facility and it was quite impressive..
