Greetings from the Municipality of Clarington
Permalink

Thanks to Chuck for the invitation and Doug (studeshaker) for the endorsement! I am extremely pleased to be here.

I was raised in Port Perry and now reside in the Municipality of Clarington and like most of us, I am a self proclaimed gearhead. After 33 years I still own my first car, a 68 Beaumont Custom 2dr hardtop, original 327, 2sp bucket seat/console car and currently working on restoring a 69 Beaumont Custom convertible (both pictured below).

Also, I am the Editor in Chief of Ontario Motorsports Enthusiasts.com www.ontario-motorsports-enthusiasts.com which is a site I have created to pay tribute to gearheads and enthusiasts like us through my amature photography. Rest assured, I am not a trouble maker and I think you will find that I will be one of your biggest cheerleaders. I am all about respect...and I dont judge or discriminate based on what people build or own.

Reiterated thanks Chuck for the consideration and I am looking forward to "lounging" in a better place.

Cheers,

Whitey

Welcome Whitey, very nice Beaumont collection. I just picked up a 69 convertible myself. Hope you start a build thread on yours, I would love to see more photos and hear the details about it.

Welcome, from the North shore of Lake Erie Whitey, ..beauty little Beaumont,..owned one pristine condition ( near identical, but a 283 auto. and about same color blue as your rag top ) that I purchased off of a car lot in Beachville Ont. in 1976, for $1200.00. Sold it in 1980 with the engine getting pretty tired,..and it went to the Niagara area to finish out it's days as a Gasser.

Thanks Rick, the 68 has been in my family since 72. I bought it from my parents in 83 (at 15) and it has been through a few different looks and drivetrains over the years (but never got rid of any of the original parts) then decided to restore it in 1990. I have a hard time letting go of things I care about lol...a common trait of us enthusiasts I think!

I drove through your neck of the woods on the way home from Armdrop...some nice countryside and homes in the county!
