I'm posting this for Jeff Crawford in Oshawa (the guy who hosts Fenders Day!)
----------
For anybody who likes cars and old movies, I've helped to organize a cruze night/movie night starting on Tuesday, MAY 24th at the REGENT THEATER Downtown Oshawa. We will be playing, starting at eight O'clock, vintage car and Hot Rod movies. You can bring your cars and bikes for a cruze night and then at eight we watch a movie together. The restaurants and food establishments in the area are on board and excited to serve us. So even if you don't have a car and like old movies and cars, come down have something to eat, hang out and join us for some really cool old movies. For those of you who will bring cars, the theater is supplying Security Guards to watch over the cars while the movie is on. The First Movie is called HOLLYWOOD KNIGHTS Filmed in 1980 in Beverly Hills and Hollywood staring Toni Danza and Michelle Pfeiffer. The price to get in for the first night is 5 Dollars. Cheap date night LOL. We hope to fill it at least the first night. The place holds 600.
Oh I just stopped in quick on my way home from the train station (picking up the gf) looks like pretty cool event. I was only there for about 10 minutes or so. I forgot to take any pics but I drove through pretty early and Jeff was handing out pizza and a bunch of cool cars there already. He said next week is smokey and the bandit. They had a parking lot off the road on the side of the theatre and two security guards watching the cars.
Hey Nick: Thanks for posting the pictures. Some pretty cool looking rides in there ,none quite as nice as that little red truck with wide whites, but I seen a couple in that mix that I really liked..Looked like a good turn out to promote the movie night.. cool.
my favorites.

Saw this on OR - I haven't gone for a couple weeks so haven't heard about this yet.
The local movie theatre has been running car related movies for the past few weeks every Tue night until school goes back in. The Regent underwent a major renovation and is now operated by the University of Ontario.
There is a show and shine from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm and the everyone goes in to watch the movie.
Aug 23 there is a plan to have a discussion on the new regulations starting in the theatre at 7.00
pm. The organizer has been trying to get MTO and the OPP to come and clear up some of the information out there. He will also have a few local automotive business owners for opinions.
The organizer himself operates a shop in Oshawa.
One of the neat features of the Tue night movie is it cost only5.00 .... The ticket that you buy is used in a door prize draw and is drawn prior to the movies ensuring that everyone is there for the draw.
Local business have been donating the door prizes.
After you have bought your ticket you go to the concession stand and for another 5.00 you get your popcorn, a drink and your choice of a chocolate bar or candies
