Previously 66-67-88Chevy on OR, and 87Chevy on Gearheads, making a new debut. I love long nicknames i guess, but since I keep getting different cars, a more generalized name seems to work better...

My name is Ben Davis, and Im one of the few young guns on here. Hopefully, that will change. Im gonna try and get my buddy on here, he had a 65 Chevy Stepside truck, sold it and moved to a 1993 Skyline GTS. He would fit right in. One of the few younger guys I know with a true passion, but back to the intro.  Slab is my dad, mentor, and the guy that helps me out with all the problems I cant seem to figure out on my own.

I started with an alero, washed it, polished the rims and sold it for 300 profit. Used that to buy a 1988 Camaro project. Was gonna swap a 4.3L into it, but that failed and ended up buying a 1987 Camaro with a 2.8L in it.

I restored that with my dad, and was my first real project. We took it to bare metal, straightened it out real good, did the suspension up. I drove it for two years, and this spring, brought it in and did an LS swap to it. Ill be posting a build up soon with some good pictures and a write up.

Then I needed a beater, so I bought 3 rangers, and fixed them up with my dad, threw a quick paint job on it with some leftovers my dad had, now my sister is driving that.

I upgraded to a 2001 F150 I bought for 750 from a guy my dad works with. I sold the ranger for 600, sold the rims on the truck for 250, then I sold the cold air intake it had on it for another hundred. Truck was free in my opinion. ITs got true dual stainless exhaust, black single cab stepside. Its pretty cool.

And then theres the next, and biggest project. Have a 1968 Camaro SS, big pile of rust. Everytime I touch it, I swear theres a pile of rust on the floor. Its a true ss, 350 4gear car. Its stripped down right now, but its on hold right now as I was working on the LS  swap on the other car. I have basically from the dash to the trunk dropoffs, including 1 piece cowl panels, full uipper and lower firewall, full floor, trunk floor, new frame rails in stock already. Have a subframe from a 1969 with discbrakes, power steering, and in wayyy better shape than the one I got with the car. That will be coming soon, and once I start moving on it again, then I will start a thread for it too. Its going to be over the top.

So that a summary of what Ive done in my short 18 years of life. IF it keeps going like this, im just trying to figure out what my yard will look like when I get a house (its a scary thought). I hope that I can get back into the forums again, as I dissapperaed for a while. The work didnt stop though. ITs juust been harder working full time as an apprentice millwright. Looking forward to getting back on here though

Thanks for having me,

Ben

Ranger

1987 Camaro with the 6 banger

^^ I love that last pic. Done by Kenny at Lugnuts, it just makes that line down the middle pop, and highlights how straight it is.

and now

The F1Fiddy

The 68, in whats left of its glory

And that about covers it. Ill leave it with two cool aerial pictures of what the shop looks like right now. I need a cool selfie stick like Fordy has to get any higher!
