This is good to know for those tight fitting firewalls: might be able to make your own from the views.. If you can figure how to dial in relucter spark to cap terminal at the correct time.. I didn't see that part..

That's pretty cool. I've done a few for firewall clearance but used the Pertronix Ignitor kit. They seem to work well (never had one come back) and easy to install. pertronix.com/prod/ig/ignitor/

I agree with Larry, Pertronix is an easy upgrade, inexpensive and trouble free, they started out in the 50's making the conversion for tow motors to eliminate the problem of burning out the points when guys forgot to turn the key off.

I agree with all above, I have used the Pertronix kits on both Chevy and Ford projects that I have built up. Easy to install and very functional. Oh ya the price is also great.
