Most of you know me and my own project, traditional Kustom to label it loosely. I have a problem with telling
others no to working on their stuff hence mine rarel ever gets any attention . It's just one of those things...
Started out as a lowly four door sedan that was destined for the crusher,as ugly and unwanted as it was I couldnt
bare to allow that,so home it came to meet the Percy Boom plasma cutter( sawzall)
To date,we have removed the roof to either build a full on speedster,or possibly a heavily chopped radical Kustom,
I have grafted 53 Buick front headlights,54 Studebaker rear quarters and have 59 Caddy bullets to sink deeply in
the rear fins...
As you can see,I am not afraid of altering stuff to work for my needs,lol.. The Chevy sedan in the background was a project last summer where we had grafted a 56 Caddy tail section to it!
There is one of these,..the 4 door hardtop version,...down my way,...it has sat in the same spot, ( out in the elements ) in an unused field, at an equally unused vacant house for 20+ years ,..never moved,...I went past there yesterday,..and I see someone has actually placed a brand new car cover over it. Probably factory paint still on it,..it's the dark green paint that Chrysler came out with back then that looks almost like Candy color paint,...with the off white trim,...one beautiful car in it's day for sure.
Your Rag top is going to look some sweet when it's finished !!
They do stay up all the time, and Steve ,they are already white lights because in the middle of summer, they are also very good lights for late night outdoor events!
