I had a topper for a small truck I didn't need. It was for a ranger or a S10 size truck. It was fiberglass, tinted windows no cracks even came with the clamps.
I advertised it for free. In the ad I said to include phone number with reply. Only half the people included their numbers.
One guy e mailed me twice 'cuz I didn't get back to him. No phone number either time.
Some wanted my phone number. Some were "send me your address and I'll stop in when I get a chance".
Then there was the picture collectors,, everyone wants a picture.
I could understand this if I was selling something for lots of money but I'm not..
The guy that came said to me yea I'll take it how's your schedule this week!!
My reply was I don't want to make a date I just want to get rid of the topper. He said OK I'll be back at 9 PM
I would have never thought it would be so hard to give something away.
Around here if you put something out by the road with a sign saying "free" it will sit forever, but put a sign saying " for sale $50" and it will be gone the next morning

That was sort of my concern,, it sitting at the road in front or beside my house for weeks
