Is anybody going to be displaying their car in the show? Three of my buddies and me planing to take it in on Sat. Been years since been there and we have been getting together every month or two for the last 25 years to do something gear head related and then with our wife's at Christmas time. Good to have old time friends.
I have not been to the London car show for years..Seems what I remember was it was a 1/2 hr event at best . For me I just never got into showing my car in that kind of venue. I actually never liked showing or sitting in paved parking lots on hot summers days or evenings at show & shines..I would rather just take my girl out for a drive around the country side..I will have lots of time to sit around when I can't drive my car any more ..I like to visit and jaw with friends but I don't like to do it parking lots unless, it is a charity for a cause I or some of my friends support. I think about 15 or 20 years ago we did some of the park and sit shows but I have not been to a parking lot sit and park for years and years.. Might be an age thing I don't know but, it's not my thing. I would rather be driving/cruzin.. The ELTA guys always have a nice display there and they are the friendliest and most motivating, enthusiastic Rodders from around this area and they have inspired many new and old rodders over the last many years..I get inspired every time I am around those Guys..They embody COMMRODDERY I am sure they will be there they support this hobby more than any other club I know..and they are a real decent group of guys who role model this hobby for all ages.. I am proud to be a friend of them..

Actually Chuk, the ELTA will be at 2 shows at once. Some of the Brothers are going to show in London, and a bunch of us are making good on a threat to Dave Adams in Cleveland to show up for the Disciples of Speed outing at the Cleveland I-X centre show the same weekend as London. I'm sure the boys at the London show will represent the club properly and welcome visitors all weekend long.

Made me laugh at myself. Several ,,,,well ok 30 or so years ago we headed to Waterdown. We were almost there and I said to my wife I haven't seen any rods yet
I guess they aren't having a very good turn out..
They had a much better turnout the next weekend. DUH
yes i guess i did means on the march19/2016 ok guys you got me i just thought if there was away to meet up it would be nice to meet and chat for a few minute i will be by myself but to be fare here is my photo PS no charge for the ugly pic lol
I tried to go online and see if they have any discount coupons (retirees are more $$ conscious) and it's $16. at the door but you can buy tickets in advance for $12. plus a $1.00 service fee and then H.S.T. Not much of a savings at $1.31 when all said and done and then you will have to find the place to pick them up. Are there different ones that I have missed?
Were leaving Hamilton around 9:30 so depending how big the show is and how long it will take to go thru it might catch up with you. I will be wearing a gray and black NHRA museum jacket and buddy should have his Rodders Journal black jacket on. Have fun
well the london show was ok the cars for the most part were great but not a big fan of stock cars but i do understand they have a place(yes not a lover of stock car 's) but some real good looking rides were there sorry i did not meet up with any one would have been nice i hope all had a great time
thanks bob
i guess i am a drag racer still at heart i can't change years of racing i have to look at stock cars and be happy there are fun but in a different ways just to much breakage to suit me this is just my opinion not here to make bad feelings
thanks bob
Good show but too many drag cars. I am not a drag racer fan but a stock car fan....
lol just pushing your buttons Bob. I am an ex oval track racer from the 70's but not much interest in it now. Hard to get a good cross section without race cars of some description. I didn't mind the show I like a smaller show without so many $100K + cars. couple of pics that got my attention. The patina 1965 Chev with the Inglese injection on the Inline 292 was a soft spot for me. My 65 Pickup has a Inline 292 as well but with a quadrajet. Looked interesting until the guy tells me he figured about $3k to put it all on.
love that 6 holier that was sweet i had a 66 chevy p/u with a 292 4 speed in tit and that truck was a bull it would never stop pulling i used it to pull my race car around drag racing for ever and yes like you i was into dirt stock cars to for several years but got tired of throwing all away at the end of the season and having to stop over just was not much fun the one that got my attention was the horseless carriage in the back corner really nice
thanks bob
