not sure yet, maybe 4.8 l motor with a  5 speed nv4500 I have, s truck chassis, slammed.  no the cabs were not part of the deal

ok brought it home last sunday, started working on it today, pretty rough but solid.  nice thing is being im not restoring it I can pretty much weld it up as I see fit and not follow any original body lines, makes it easier I would say

rebuilt driver side body mount tonight

another bonus today is stopping by my buddy scotts place in courtice, he brings back western iron from places like alberta and such, he had a pair of mystery fenders I bought for 50 bucks, turns out they are 1938 chev truck fenders and fit my 40, I will use them as they are rather mint shape compared to the fenders I have

since I don't have to conform to any known design as im not restoring this im going to make the body really strong by using 1.5 inch square tube at the bottom to anchor the side sheet metal to, I should be able to lift it up by the sides of the body pretty easy when im done

almost have drivers side rebuilt, will be all steel when im done, not quite as it was original but doesn't matter its going to be a driver

if its just south of the 401 at a transport shipping yard then that's his place

a little frame action today, should have the body on it rolling on wheels by the weekend

the frame from my panel is for sale if anyone needs it, is in excellent shape, engine crossmember is oddly rotted out a bit but the rails and other parts are perfect, cames with axles and stuff, rolling frame
