As some of you on here may recall, my wife bought a beautiful little 1954 Ford 2 door post back a few years ago, and I whined until she sold it to me, and then I went into my " Idiot Mode " a couple years later and sold the car. Since she has retired she has been doing a lot of long distance travelling with her other female church member friends, and mostly the cruise ship thing. Since this BS Covid thing, she drastically / wisely changed her mind about getting on any more cruise ships, so about 6 weeks ago, we were in the TV room and while on her computer she nonchalantly stated,... " if I could find another '54 Ford like I had, I would probably buy it !! ",... I came back with, " Well I will get right on my puter and find you one !! ",... and she agreed to it, ( and I love spending her money ), so on the puter I went, and it only took me approx. 15 minutes, and Bingo,.. ( not exactly what she wanted but a year newer ), 1955 Ford Fairlane, Victoria 2 door hardtop. Found it right in Tillsonburg, lady owned and driven,... made the call the following morning for appointment to go and look at the car, and an hour after arriving Pat owned it. Complete new interior, right through to the trunk, fresh 302 ( stock ) engine w / C-4 auto tranny, and brand new power steering unit installed. The seller gave us a journal they had of all the new parts installed into the car, and there was a ton of $$$ dumped into it. There was a bit of patina on the drivers side half of the grill and it really took away from the car, so I bought her a complete new grill through " Muscle Cars & Classics " over in Windsor, ( approx, 2 weeks coming from the US ) and I installed it for her. It's a great little car, rides as smooth as a '55 Ford can ride and drives great. I'm not a big fan of the color, but she said she can live with it, ( we both agreed that it should be " tuquois and white " , sadly, it is Tropical Rose & Snowshoe White,... given the color, I hate riding with her, as I must look like a 3rd rate Pimp with a suspended drivers license sitting in that passenger seat, and I would pay someone to steal those friggin' dummy spotlights.
