My daughter asked me to build a holder for business cards......

....and being a hobby wood-worker I obliged. She and my son-in-law own and operate Lakeside Automotive here in Vineland. They needed something to hold business cards and the doorbell "buzzer" that customers can ring in case no-one is at the front desk.

The post-card size cards sit either side of the box, the regular size cards sit under the boom and the buzzer is inside the boom with a cut-out so the button can be pushed.

I tried to mimic a 50's style wood toy then distressed it a little.

Good one, Fred Flintstone could work with a real one of those. Great imagination. I could easily see gouging into production on that one.

Thanks Doug, I enjoy woodworking on a couple different levels - toys and reproduction/imaginative furnishings. You're right though, this one caught the eye of a few guys wanting their own " brand".
They'll all have to wait until after Christmas though, too much other stuff that HAS to be done between now and then.
I know I said it before but I REALLY like your Pontiac.
